Getting out and active in Forth Valley

Get Out Get Active (GOGA) and the Riverbank Centre's partnership walk went off like a rave! Forty five individuals, from all over Forth Valley, came flooding through the doors (as did the rain!) to join our walking event on Friday 22nd March 2019. Each walker was given a goodie bag containing their very own pedometer kit, walking badge, water bottle and information about the walk.

Riverbank walk leader James led our walk along the river to the Cambuskenneth Bridge, over the River Forth, and back. Luckily the drizzle stopped so everyone could enjoy the fresh air and views along the walk. Everyone then came together after the walk to enjoy a healthy buffet.

Our walking event was organised to encourage everyone to get out walking within the Stirling area and highlight that the Riverbank Centre run a weekly walk every Friday at 1.15pm. This walk is open to everyone and anyone within the community who fancies a 45min walk, some fresh air and a chit chat along the way. No need to sign up, just turn up.
