GOGA panel set for appearance at leading industry event
Activity Alliance's Get Out Get Active programme is set to feature at the UK’s largest trade show dedicated to fitness, sport and physical activity.
Helen Derby, Get Out Get Active (GOGA) Programme Manager, will be speaking this Thursday 15 June at Elevate. She will lead a session titled ‘The GOGA approach supporting healthier, happier and active lives’.
Joining Helen for the panel discussion will be Claudia Russell, Project Lead/Inclusion and Physical Activity Officer – Nottingham City Council, and Gavin McLaughlin, GOGA Lead – Liverpool.
It promises to be an exciting opportunity to share the principals of GOGA to industry leaders. The event will welcome thousands of decision makers from gyms, studios, sport clubs, universities, personal training and schools. There will also be 250 leading suppliers, exhibiting solutions and product innovations specially designed to ‘elevate’ the UK’s physical activity levels.
GOGA supports disabled and non-disabled people to enjoy being active together. It began in 2016 and looks to engage the least active communities in fun and inclusive ways.
Made possible by founding funder Spirit of 2012 and additional investment from Sport England and London Marathon Foundation, it continues to be focused on getting some of the UK's least active people moving through fun and inclusive activities.
